class=\"special-heading-border\"><div class=\"special-heading-inner-border\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-lnap26cr-22bc630749eb84fff7f01f2c3751306f'   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>By the beginning of the 21st Century, the federated charrer\u00eda celebrated its 67th anniversary, in which 27 Presidents of the National Board of Directors had succeeded each other, whose position by democratic election lasts 4 years. In 2001, the current President was Jorge Octavio Rivera Casta\u00f1eda, who served from 2000 to 2004.<\/p>\n<p>In 2001, the fifty-seventh (LVII) edition of the National Charro Congress and Championship, the highest sporting event in charreria, was held. In order to reach the national championship, there are qualifying rounds in the 32 states of Mexico, and in approximately 14 to 16 states in the United States of America.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016 the Mexican Charrer\u00eda was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. The declaration states the following: \"Charreria, equestrian tradition in Mexico. Inscribed in 2016 (11.COM) on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.\"<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>THE DIGITAL AGE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Digital Era in charrer\u00eda consists of a series of milestones in which our sport regained large audiences through new channels of mass dissemination: social networks. The relevance of the Digital Era is that our national sport is disseminated through the Federation's channels directly to the end user. In this way, charrer\u00eda enjoys audiences in Mexico, in the USA and around the world. For this reason, the historical milestones detailed below are relevant:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On November 17, 2012, the Federation's Facebook page was established, which by 2023 has more than 500,000 followers.<\/li>\n<li>On November 12, 2017 we had the first live broadcast of the LXXIII Congreso y Campeonato Nacional Charro Hidalgo 2017, whose final surpassed 100,000 views on YouTube alone.<\/li>\n<li>In 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the National Championship in Nayarit. However, this fact significantly increased the reach and penetration of digital channels, so the charrer\u00eda returned stronger than ever for 2021.<\/li>\n<li>On November 21, 2021, the final of the LXXVII Congreso y Campeonato Nacional Charro Aguascalientes 2021 surpassed 175,000 views, accumulating 134,402 hours of transmission, with an average stay of 45:00 minutes in that medium alone. It should be noted that these are families of 4 people on average, gathered in front of a TV set to watch the event.<\/li>\n<li>In other categories, the thirtieth edition of the XXX Campeonato Nacional Infantil Juvenil y de Escaramuzas was held in Aguascalientes in 2023, as well as the thirtieth edition of the XXX Campeonato Nacional de Charros Mayores in San Luis Potos\u00ed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>LARGE SPORTS ARENAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2021, the Governor of Aguascalientes, Mr. Martin Orozco, initiated the ambitious project of the \"Poliforum Charro Isla San Marcos\", with a reported investment that exceeded $319 million pesos. That same year, this venue was inaugurated with the LXXVII Congreso y Campeonato Nacional Charro Aguascalientes 2021, generating an economic benefit that exceeded $600 million pesos. This event left a clear message: investing in charrer\u00eda promises a significant return on investment in the future.<\/p>\n<p>It is anticipated that other state governments will recognize the valuable social contribution of our national sports practice, both for the economic benefits it generates and for its role in the preservation of our cultural wealth, thus strengthening unity and the social fabric.<\/p>\n<p>Another large investment project will be presented in 2024 with the <strong>Potosi Sand<\/strong>The project, promoted by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Carmona, has a projected investment of $481 million pesos.<\/p>\n<p>The digital era and the profitability of large-scale infrastructure projects augur a promising future for Mexican charrer\u00eda.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":1874,"parent":56,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-1860","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
