Bronze Sculpture “HONOR THE CHARRO”
The majestic bronze statue of three masters, located in the central courtyard of the Museo de la Charrería, is an exceptional tribute to the spirit and tradition of the Mexican charro. This imposing sculpture was erected during the presidency of the distinguished C. José López Portillo, during the presidency of Lic. José López Portillo, in 1977.
The National Federation of Charros, under the presidency of Jorge Delgadillo Guerrero, supervised the development of this monumental work, which pays tribute to the unwavering legacy of the charros in the history and culture of Mexico.
The statue, masterfully carved and cast in bronze, whose author appears with the sculptor's inscription "A. Tapia", captures the essence and courage of the charro, personifying the values of homeland and tradition that have been fundamental in the construction of the Mexican identity. Its impeccable design and execution reflect the meticulous work of the artists who participated in its creation, leaving as a result a piece that transcends time and space.
